Oooh, I love veronica! Are the seeds you purchased of a particular cultivar?

This is the link for the Veronica where I purchased it few minutes ago.

Nice choices. I sowed some Veronica spicata Blue Carpet two years ago and was really very pleased with it. I am going to sow more this winter.

The delphs and baby's breath are nice picks. I love goldenrod, but never really thought of starting it from seed, for some reason. I have the native stuff in my yard - a really misunderstood plant, unfortunately, lol!

So, are you going to winter-sow? (hint, hint!)

    :)

Awesome, thank you so much. I'm so glad that I did the right choices even if I didn't know them. :) hehehe

I have one more problem. The beds aren't prepared yet. I will prepare the bed by mid-march. Do you think I am still ok?

    Thanks!

Thakns for the link. I read like 50% of it and it's cool! I have to read it again because I'm a bit confused with other topics.

I'm not sure but there was no mention where to put the flats. Should it be put where sunlight can reach the seeds?

Also for the containers like those $2 milk we buy, how are we to lay the seeds in nice pattern if the hole is only 1" diameter?

Looks like I want to do winter sowing after reading that more seeds can be saved with this technique and rather than direct sowing. But wouldn't it kill our back transplanting thousands of seedlings?

Milk jugs have a cut or hole on the side to put soil and seeds. Yes, if you start it you will be up to your ears in seedlings as WS is very productive and addictive.
You should post more questions on the WS forum for people to answer, am sure plenty of people have detailed pics how they prepare their milk or soda bottles and such.

Heh, heh, looks like we may have hooked another one, eh Linda? LOL!

Yes, do go read over at the WSing forum. If you are like me, you can read there for days! That's what I did when I first started winter sowing. Sooooo much info - actually, sometimes TOO much, because it really is very easy and a lot of the minor details don't matter, because everyone has his/her own way, and they mostly all work.

I'll be expecting to see you on Winter Sowing!

I just got back. I finished plowing about 14 to 16 inches of snow. Took me a long time because I also helped my 2 neighbors.

Anyways, yes, I posted at WS 2 hours ago. I'll check it later.

Thanks for the pics! Now I know what you mean folks! :D
