Not the double form....but I do believe it is Thalictrum delavayi.

Yes, I think that is it. Thanks a bunch!! ANyone know what the heat zone is? It gets pretty hot and muggy here (unlike the mountains where I saw it). I have a nice moist spot where I think it will grow. Any suggestions?

They don't like direct sun in hot zones, if you can help it. In cooler zones (north west region) they can probably take full sun with enough moisture.

I would suggest a dappled area, at least.

Yes, I second the moisture and shade. Even up here on the tundra I grew thalictrum in dappled shade in an area that wasn't exactly boggy but was pretty consistently damp. Wish I still had the right conditions for it!
