At this time of year, I think everyone with own root KOs have stopped shipping. Check Roses Unlimited they may still have some in stock.

I know that Nor'East Mini Rose and Chamblee's usually carry them own root, but they are not shipping now.

Thanks for the link. I was thinking for a fall planting. I thought fall time was the best time for planting? Is it not?

I'll push this back up so that other z5'ers can see it.

I wouldn't plant an own root KO here in central NJ in the fall. The spring is best, like May.

I believe all ko's are own root. i would think you would have to go out of your way to get a grafted one. even the ones sold locally.
most people do not plant roses in the fall. I planted 42 bands last year and didn't lose any because of the cold. for me it's the early spring wetness along with the cold that i have to watch for, becauses that is canker season. from my experience it seems the best time to plant, it is cooler and we get the rains, which really causes the roses to grow. the roots will continue to grow until the ground freezes.
