Several years ago I tried to buy Gallex. I got no where. As I recall, the one company that had had it no longer had it and said it was only for commercial use.

Good luck, and I'm really interested if it is available at all.

Sort of on topic, a well known rosarian from Mobile once in a talk said he had crown gall on all his roses and it didn't bother them, he just fertilized more. (At that time I had had a rooted cutting die, strangled by crown gall the size of a Cheerio, so I doubted him, but he may have found something that worked for his growing conditions.)

Why investigating crown gall I came across a study where copper sulfate was used successfully to control the gall. I have tried it and believe that it works. A known fungicide used forever and once known as Bordeaux copper.

Existing galls can only be physically removed, cut away or broken off. The ideal is to prevent the gall by treating cuttings or bareroots with a biological preventative. This one appears to still be available. https://www.evergreengrowers.com/nogall-group-nogall.html

msged Gallex and have not received a reply so I suspect they are no longer viable. The study on crown gall control using copper sulfate and other chemicals can be found on Google Scholar. Most of my poplars have responded well to drenches of CuSO4 sol.
