Hi,

I have been reading on different forums and looking at photos for quite a while. I thought maybe someone from this forum can lead me to an area where I can get the information I am looking for. If anyone can help explain how I should go about my raised garden I would love it.

What I want to do is: in the corner of my wood fenced area I want to place a raised bed. Being a corner it will only have 3 sides. I want to place the first wood post down in front of the fence posts which would make this post about 8 foot long. Then I want to fill the area with dirt or whatever. Then I want to place a second post about 6 to 8 inches in from the first post and place more dirt to fill this second level. Then I want to place a third level 6 to 8 inches in from the second level. Like in a step form so that I can place plants on each step.

On the 3rd level I want to place a fountain in the center and fill in around it with dirt.

Has anyone seen anything like this that I might be able to get some help from?

I need to know if this will structurely work. If so, what kind of dirt/soil mixture should I get for each level?

How do I measure for the amount of supplies that I will be needing? Since I am placing it in the corner of my wood fenced area do I need to place plastic on the two sides so the dirt won't go through the fence openings?

I have many questions and would like any help I can get.
