Affordable Automated Garden?

Does anyone know of an automated hydroponic garden that is actually affordable?

I looked online and they are all really expensive.

I am looking to grow ALL my own food, not just one or two plants. I also want the system to be able to pay for itself in about 12 months.

Build your own, and start small. I don't think it is feasible to grow EVERYTHING, but you might be able to grow a lot.

Personally I'm not doing without things like corn, edamame, tea, and sugar (among many other things).

Also, you probably want to post in the Hydroponics forum - not in the forum about making gardening accessible to the handicapped and elderly.
