K&M Roses

If you can grow roses on fortuniana root stock, you might want to check with K&M Roses. Jim has a few OGR's and a big list of David Austin roses that he is now selling. He told me he will be adding more to the David Austin list next spring. I know I'll be getting a few of the Austin's next spring. I grew my Austin's on fortuniana root stock when I lived in FL. and have been growing Septer'd Isle on fortuniana up here in N. GA. since I moved up here (2008). It's a HUGE beautiful bush covered in blooms. Wouldn't grow it any other way.

I purchased some HTs from K&M on fort several years ago at Ken's suggestion. They were of excellent quality. I am still growing 3 of the 4.

K&M sells a large medium pink rose called New Orleans that does exceedingly well in the S.E. in hot humid climate. I think it is a found rose. Very vigorous and a very good bloomer that for me has had no disease problems. It is on Fortunia. I can recommend this rose highly if you are in the hot humid part of the country.

K&M was at the DSD Mid Winter Meetings along with Cool Roses, another rose seller that has roses on fortuniana. I bought Randy Scott and Magnificence from K&M on fort and Tradescant on fort from Cool Roses. I also got a mini and a Mrs BR Cant to replace one I have.

Extremely disappointed with my K&M order. They shipped before telling me what shipping would be, charged me $60 for shipping 6 roses, and the roses are tiny, they would have fit in 1/2 gallon pots. Never again!

Update: they refunded my shipping charge, since I whined.
