My three year old redbud tree that I got from the Pickens county forestry dept, just got the main trunk snapped off by the wind. My husband snapped off the tree at the point of the break. Now what do you think will happen next.

I have another redbud that has three trunks and is not as tall as poor broken tree. My heart is broken with the turn of events.
What must I do to save my trees?
