How deep is the ledge for the faucet?

I am using this exact setup for my bathroom. The only difference is we are using a tub with a wider lip/flange and need to make sure we have enough clearance for the faucet. Also, how much space is between your tub and ledge?. I am using this faucet as well. Thanks!!

Ledge is about 5" wide. You could do that, or you can buy caddies that fit across the free standing tubs. If you carried the tile up higher, you could put a niche in one wall at either end of the tub. We do this in most of our showers.

How did this work out for you? We are doing a new build and are thinking of this ledge beside a free standing tub.

Personally, I would not recommend doing this type of installation. The home owner likes it, but when the faucet is turned off, any water that drips out drips onto the edge of the tub. I would recommend using the freestanding type faucet that is designed to be used with his type tub.

Yes, that's what we're doing. I am just looking for a way to store shampoo with a free standing tub. Any ideas?

Will probably go for the caddy because I feel that turning around for the shampoo/ conditioner/ soap for each use would be annoying..... Do you have a pic to share of the niche you put in? A smalll issue has become a big problem......

We used this same basic setup and we love it!! Honestly, my shampoo generally stays on the ledge near the faucet. Although, I do have a niche it's too small for shampoo.
