Cold weather is eating into my greenhouse heating budget. I only used $140 all last winter but I have already hit $105 this year. When it is as cold as it has been the last couple of weeks, I have to heat day and night and use two heaters at night. Wow, I wonder if it is worth the cost?

Does anyone know what happened to LoraxDave who used to be on the 'Bama Forum? He gave me a palmetto which I thought was a scrub palmetto. It is growing tall (8 feet, has huge fan leaves and put up a bloom stalk late in the fall which was 9-10 feet tall. It has withstood cold weather for 7-10 years. If it stands up to the current weather, it may be a real keeper. I wonder if the seeds came from sabal Birmingham?
