This is the kind of weather we dream about when it's bitter cold or blazing hot. I like it because I don't have to run my furnace or air conditioning.

At work today (in Calera) I saw several daffodils, crocus and what looked like hyacinths poking about an inch out of the ground. Yellow bells are blooming everywhere.

Right now my biggest fear is that a lot of my plants will think it's Spring and leaf out too early. We may well have a killing frost before warm weather is here for good.

I had my first few daffodils pop out yesterday, as well. There's hope for true spring, yet!

I have lots of daffodil buds popping up, but none have opened quite yet.

Over the weekend, my husband and I were sitting outside and I kept smelling daffodils, but never could find any. We've never planted any (don't scold me) and my neighbor doesn't have any. Such a sweet smell.

I have some blooming too as of a couple of days ago and lots of buds. I can't believe this warm weather.

I guess the smell was just springtime.

I found the wild violets blooming in the hayfield this afternoon. So many things here in southeast Alabama budding out. Hope we don't have a bad late freeze.
