I got 2 blueberry bushes last fall from Pikes nursery in B'ham. The price was right for bigger than 2' plants compared to what I could tell from mail order.
("Tifblue" and "climax" are what i got, I think.)
I noticed this past weekend that Sam' s club here was selling a package of four small blueberry plants wrapped up together, two "rabbiteye", including tifblue, and two highbush kind--not sure how well they do in the south compared to the rabbiteye kind.

According to this link, Brightwell is an early season and Tifblue is a mid-season. I would think you'd want two of the same "season" to ensure cross pollination.

So if you want early season, get Brightwell and Climax or Premier. If you want mid-season, get Tifblue and Bluebelle or Brightblue.

Thanks for the feedback. When should I plant them? I read somewhere "late fall to late winter." I guess that's now?

A few years ago I bought some blueberry plants from a nursery and put them out they did not fair too well. Then I found a couple of friends of mine had blueberry bushes and they told me to come get all the sprouts I wanted. Well I took two of my grand boys and we got about eighty sprouts for nothing. I planted them and now instead of my place being called Paradise Hill I am thinking of renaming it Blueberry Ridge. I could not any more tell you the verities of them all I know is they are blue and really tasty. My suggestion is ask around and someone will give you some sprouts.

If you look at dave's garden watchdog the Willis folks are rated very highly. I use dave's garden to check on all companies before ordering.

I am going to try and grow blueberries in large containers as I have no place else to plant. I have read that they do well. Now to find the plants !
