I don't know if it is still there but you could get it in Trussville. Take the I-59 Trussville exit (think Pizza Hut) and go over the hill toward the old Hewitt-Trussville HS. Turn left on Pine St and go down to the elementary school. Go toward the park, left across the bridge and up the hill. There was a leaf dump up by the park on the hill. You may want to call Trussville city hall to ask about this.

It use to be behind the soccer fields but have not heard anyone speak of it in a good while since the city contracted out the work. Try Landscape Depot in Argo. They have a large mixing/sifting machine for mixing their own top soil. They might have something. 655-4906.

I rode around the park in Trussville today and I didn't see any sign of the leaf dump area. I guess they've cleaned it up.

I'll give The Landscape Depot in Argo a call tomorrow and see what they have.

Alan, let us know what you find! I am in search of a source as well. I'm south of Birminhgam but wouldn't mind driving to the Trussville area.

'Captain Compost of Alabama' is in the Moody/Odenville area and delivers in the Birmingham area.

He comes very highly recommended, makes a diverse compost, and has reasonable prices, so I'm buying from him this year.
