finally we have rain ....it has been raining constantly for hours here in Henagar, loving that slow, steady rain..Everyone needs it so badly ..Hope it will continue for a while..

I was pumped when I woke up this morning and heard the rain outside. We have needed this for a long time.

We got a good soaking here in Escambia county too. I have over a dozen new trees planted far away from the house and have been carrying 5gal buckets of water to them.

Maybe they'll get some rain in south GA too. I think they need it even worse than we do.

Ended up with .70 inches here in Morgan County. Still a slight chance for a little more but don't think so. But between this and the .50 inches I got a couple of days ago has really helped out. Starting to see a little bit of green coming back on the stuff that got froze the first of the month.

Our total wound up being 1.4" of nice soaking rain. That's the most I've seen in a single day since very early in January.

I do a lot of container gardening, and y'all know how containers like to dry out faster than you can blink an eye. This should keep them happy for a little while.

North Walker County checking in - got .9" and the plants are singing as is the bullfrog in the pond. Linda

This is the second time recently they've called for 80% chance of severe thunderstorms, rain, hail, 20+ mph winds, etc.. and we got barely a spit. No storms, nothin'. Not even enough to dampen the mulch, let alone the soil underneath. Guess I should have watered yesterday after all =(

I am glad all you folks got some though 'cause I know everyone needs it. Maybe next time it'll decide to stop in for a visit. Squirrellypete
