After trimming my trees, the guys left me with a load of wood chips. Do I need to compost them before using them as mulch? If used as mulch, should I add more nitrogen to the area? I also plan to use them in layers with grass clippings and kitchen scraps in the compost bin. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
