Post-Swap

Thanks to everyone for a great first plant swap. I can see why Heather would be willing to drive a couple of hours to attend one of these. It was a lot of fun and I have a lot of new and exciting plants. Now I have to figure out how to integrate them all into my garden! My only regret is that I couldn't stay for lunch. Hope you all had fun, I look forward to hopefully seeing you all at the fall swap.

I second that. It was good to see old friends and good to have new folks join us. Maybe we should keep this location for the immediate future. Linda

I wanted to come, had planned on coming. We had Girl Scout Family Movie night out under the stars. Finished off with a firework show. I am sure we are going to keep them every year the 2nd week in May. I will be at the Fall swap for sure. I have had to miss to many. Miss all my old gardenswap buddies.

Very excellent day, awsome new plants, great fun with friends old and new.

I vote for ongoing swap date of the second Saturday in May and in the same general area.
what about the fall swap... any very early ideas?

I had a great first swap! I hated I had to leave in a hurry. I will definitely be getting plants ready for this fall. Thank you to everyone I swapped with or to who let their plants follow me home : ). I will be happily planting for a few days.

One of the best swaps / reunions in recent memory. To the "freshman" class, I can't remember when I have enjoyed meeting new members as well as I did you all - you seemed like "family" from the start. I can't wait to get to know you all better.

Thanks to all for everything (a special "shout out" to Scott for grilling the 'dogs). The food was spectacular, as usual. And to Peggy, who volunteered to handle "Accounts Payable".

I actually pocketed about $5.00 more than the pavilion cost, which I quickly spent at Hanna's Garden Shop on the way home (with Jan & Michelle holding a gun to my head). Let's discuss future dates, pavilion size, etc., after we get through putting all our new-found goodies in the ground.

I look forward to seeing everyone again this fall! Everyone take care until then....

Much fun! Thanks to all for the plants and good company and food. As I plant my new acquisitions I'll start potting up other plants for this Fall. I'll see what I can find that I haven't brought before. :-)
