It is really easy to grow and most gardeners have some. It roots really easily and is largely pest resistant. If you can wait till the next swap I can bring you some.

There is a newer cultivar (that I don't have) "Autumn Fire" that is supposed to be better-color of the flowers is more vivid.

I would love some but I have never been to a swap and don't really know how to get into it. It seems a bit like inside baseball. I am in Auburn/Opelika so It also depends on where they are. Which one do you go to and are there any tips/advice?

Our last swap was held on May 14 at Oak Mountain State park, just South of Birmingham. We have two swaps a year-in spring and in fall. Swaps are posted on this forum and everyone is welcome. Alabama gardeners are really nice people and will be glad to share plants as well as tips. So keep an eye on the Alabama Gardening forum for the next swap and I hope to see you there.

Do watch for postings about the Fall swap and come join us. I also can bring some Autumn Joy. Mine isn't the Autumn Fire, but I've been happy with it. The first plants I got were ordered from a nursery and were taller and less satisfactory, even though the name was the same. It's so easy to root, anyone who has some can give you all you want, so I wouldn't bother with ordering it.
