I live just west of Dothan and we are looing for rain for a few days. Don't know how much wind we will have after it gets this far north.

I feel for ya'll down on the coast. I could not believe the destruction at Orange Beach and Pensacola last year.

Just sitting here in Michingan praying that our house down in Lillian doesn't blow away. Like you, we worked all winter cutting, stacking, dragging, and rakeing Ivan debris, We really don't need Arlene or any other blustery unwanted "visitors" this summer. Most importantly, Just STAY SAFE.

Gonna put the tropical into the greenhouse, side dress the corn with some extra soil. They are predicting 4-8 inches of rain with locally higher amounts in West Alabama.

Uhm, I'm not doing a thing, really, unless it looks really bad. There's just TOO MUCH.

i still have uprooted trees hanging in other trees and large trees that have yet to be cut. (anyone need firewood?).....and im well inland in anniston.

i hope this is not a precursor to a busy tropical season.

ive replaced my rain guage with a 5 gallon bucket. ill probably move some potted plants off my well elevated deck and move my vehicles from the danger of falling branches and trees. right now they are forecasting up to 30-40 mph winds here.

Casa Del Gatos - Hi. Did not see this until Arlene blew through. We just lowered the level in the pool and brought in some of the potted plants/vegetables. Ivan took care of most of the over hanging tree branchs last year. How are your banana plants? Mine are getting quite tall. I am almost 100% sure they are Musa basjoos. The tallest looks to be about sixteen feet tall. They are still growing. Quite fun. Cheers then~

Not nearly as much rain here as anticipated. I bet I didn't even get an inch, unless a lot of heavier rain fell overnight while I was asleep. LOL. But we didn't really need it, so this was for the best -- just a gentle, soaking rain for the most part. The winds did get pretty gusty this morning, though.
