There are a number of things that can be planted from seed and of course transplants of peppers and tomatoes.
I think the best advice I can give you is to get the handbook on vegetable gardening from the "Al. Cooperative Extension Service." There is a lot of free info there and accurate as it is just for Al.
Listed in the handbook on what can be planted at this time is: beans,squash,okra and eggplant,tomatoes & pepper transplants. A real good many vegs for fall planting a little later on.
