What Ever Happened To?

Quite a while back a member of the Rose Forum son fell off of a scaffolding in a construction type accident. Anyone know what happen to the young man?

Aren't we a little late, worrying about the young man who fell off the scaffolding well over 15 years ago? I would like an update on Lisa Adams, and floweraremusic. We've already done a pretty exhaustive search for Sara Ann (Merlena). I should get going and email flowersaremusic, whom I used to correspond with--shame on me. Diane

rifis (zone 6b-7a NJ) Do you have useful info. to contribute here, or do you just want to nit-pick and question the info. others give?

Since you are being negative and so judgmental on my entire post, I deleted my original post on the email that Lisa Adams sent to me, along with info. about Floweraremusic.

I hope Lisa's condition got better by now. I missed her posts too. I also hope everything goes well with Nik and Daisy in Greece. They both were motorcycle riders. Nike had a big bike and Daisy switched to a Honda scooter. Daisy's garden is one of the best home gardens in the world. I am also worry about professor Henry, he might be in his 90's. I haven't seen their posts for years.

summersrhythm_z6a , lots of oldtimers I wonder about...

Yes indeed. There is a good reason we all landed on this rose forum.

I have never been in touch with Daisy outside of the forum, so I don't have any idea what we would do to reach her. But I've tried to stay in touch with Nik, even if only erratically. I'm very concerned about him. I even asked about little George in my last email to him, knowing how much he loves to brag about that cutie. But I've still not heard back from him.

Henry responded to a post just recently if I'm not mistaken. I used to write to him about his cuttings. Maybe I sent a PM I can't remember now.

Yeah, I can't remember which thread it was on, but I do recall seeing a post by Henry. I'll see if I can find it.

Some of you may remember a poster by the name of Austin or Austin_Kisses who lived in Dallas and Houston and trained really nice climbers of Abe, Evelyn and Olivia. I had learned she had a seizure and has been in rehabilitation the last few months, so wishing her well.

Henry last posted On this thread about 6 months ago.

I know CoriAnn left Houzz because of the failure to protect her privacy -- I wonder if anyone has stayed in touch with her?

Yeah, some of us value privacy. Not everything we say in private is supposed to be made public. Not everyone wants the same level of online sharing.

There are a LOT of people who used to post here who no longer do. I think it's well and good that we all miss different people.

I follow Cori Ann on one of the social media where she posts once in a while, she seems to be doing very well. I know she completed her PhD and they moved out of California. (this was posted on her public unrestricted account).

Ben, thanks for the update. I am so happy to hear that Cori Ann is doing so well.

I think the main reason Cori Ann left the forum was that she was returning to school to earn her PhD, and would be short on time for doing a lot of posting. Then at about the same time, houzz revealed some of her personal information.

I'm hoping for a reply to my recent email to flowersaremusic. If I don't hear from her soon, I'll try snail mail. She and I used to communicate regularly, and I'd like to start that correspondence again. Diane

I am also glad to hear she finished 3 year physical therapy DPT program. She must have moved for a job. I didn't see any of her personal information on Houzz, must have missed it. Hopefully she is doing well. I missed her posts too.

There is another well fit girl like Cori Ann, landed here for a short time. She was a young mom, had a beautiful pool side rose garden next to a Victorian home. Do you guys remember her?

    Ben:

    Please permit me to nitpick.

    DPT (not PhD).

Summers, the best I can recall, during one of How-uzzlezz's revamps of the site, instead of Cori Ann's screen name showing on her posts, her real full name, and maybe her address (?) showed up. It would be like if Houzz suddenly starting putting "John H*******, L*******, TN" on every one of my posts. She caught it quickly, and changed her screen name to something like "Houzz has invaded my privacy", or something like that. Shortly after that, she left.

Thanks John. Hopefully they won't do that again.

Thanks rifis. I corrected it. It's DPT (not PhD).

I've just emailed Christopher (AquaEyes), hoping to lure him back, at least to catch us up on his life. But I hope he'll stay to contribute again. He's so knowledgeable, not to mention having a mind like a steel trap. He's as smart as I like to *think* I am, lol. We need young blood like him desperately.

Good idea John! I want to hear Chris talking about roses and Thanksgiving cooking. If you start a Thanksgiving cooking thread, I am sure he will show up. That's a big event for him every year.

Welcome back professor Henry! Glad to hear from you!! :-)

Hmmm...my last post didn't show up. I posted a note saying that I haven't heard from Christopher, yet, so I also messaged him here. Also, he has a very public link to his Facebook page on his Houzz profile, saying to send him a FB friend request. I don't use FB, but someone might take him up on his offer.

I am living like an Amish, don’t have FB either.

Great to hear the news on Cori Ann! :-)

regarding "Glad to hear from you , Henry. How are you? "

At my age one activity per day is typical.

Regarding my roses: they were neglected this season. Of the 60 that I kept (mainly my seedlings) I normally would record when they flowered and often take pictures for my seedling notebook; but this year I completely stopped - I have to walk with a cane and doing so in the garden is difficult.

re: Seil in Michigan -- last I knew (2-3 years ago?), she had fallen and broke a hip. She posted maybe once or twice after rehab, and then, the posts stopped. Seil was very active in the Michigan rose scene, so I hope someone knows an update. Seil gave great advice for midwestern gardeners!

fig_insanity Z7a E TN , I sent off a PM to Christopher on Facebook...Sent you more info to your houzz message...

fig_insanity Z7a E TN check your inbox Christopher answered me...

    Thanks, Jim.

Well, folks, it looks like Christopher doesn't have much interest in rejoining the forum. He told Jim that he's doing fine, but he seems content to use Facebook, since he's found several forum members on there. Since I don't use FB, I have to hope he'll eventually get in touch with me. I do miss him.

fig: Any new update on nikthegreek? I saw the 2020 discussion.

Hopefully seil knows people here look forward to her return.

Rifis, I haven't heard anything from Nik. I've left messages on his account here, and sent emails to two different addresses I have for him. One of them bounced back. That's all I know, unfortunately.
