Royboy I don't fertilize my daylilies in the fall unless they are new arrivals. Then I use a mild fertilizer like Milorganite to settle in. I've always heard that plants that are ready to go dormant don't take up the fertilizer like they do when they are actively growing.
In the spring I just use regular Miracle Gro. Weekly would be ideal through bloom season but I have way too many daylilies for that. I've used 13-13-13 also but I just like the ease of Miracle Gro. Good luck!
