I used to sell Fertilome's Over-the-top. I never got really positive feedback, to be honest. Not of it harming the plants, just not very effective on weeds.

I've used a product called Image with pretty good success. It can be applied over-the-top on Liriope (monkey grass) and Mondo grass, and several other ornamentals. I used it to get rid of Dallis grass (Paspalum) growing in my monkey grass.

Mix according to instructions on the bottle and use sparingly. It's better to have to spray twice than risk killing something you want to keep.

I have used it for my strawberries it works great!

Over The Top is a selective herbicide used to control the grassy weeds growing in our ornamental areas. It does not do anything for the broadleaf weeds OR (my pet peeve) the nutsedges! The on-line label clearly states that it can be used over the top of mondo, as the others mentioned.

If you have a bunch of things coming up in the mondo, you may want to consider Image, as Sundog suggests. It's a good herbicide which controls a slew of 'nasty stuff'. We use it on the nutgrass in our landscape beds. Back when I lived along the coast of SC, it was used to control the dreaded dollarweed and NOTHIN' seemed to work with that stuff!

Your best bet is to identify the troublesome weeds before you select the product for the job. We'll be glad to help.
