You are not too late to wintersow for this summer. It's just getting prime time to ws annuals in a couple of weeks! So start collecting those containers, or if you don't have any you could use and reuse styrofoam cups and plastic baggies. Even though environmentally I hated doing that that's all I could get my first year. Once you start you'll be totally addicted...but it's a good addiction lol!

OK, welcome to WS, this is my 3rd year.

year, but it got to me :) I have just under

50 jugs now , some have sprouted and some not yet.

Yup, winter sowing lasts till your last frost date and there is plenty that can be spring or summer sown using the same outdoor method after that.

Welcome and glad you joined in the fun. I'm still learning myself. Before I discovered this, I figured out how to spring sow perennials outside. Most of those won't bloom until the following year, but it works. Just don't make the mistake in spring like I did of leaving the containers taped shut or covers on once an appreciable number of seeds have germinated.

I set them in shade and moved them into almost full sun and misted once they germinated.

I still have annuals to sow the end of this month or first week(s) of April.

You still have a whole month or so to go! Get to sowing! ;)

I have some first year bloomers that don't need cold stratification. If you would like to send for them, I will need two stamps in a regular envelope to get them back to you (i have plenty of bubble envies).
