I noticed this "solid" looking leaf about a week ago on one my music garlic. I thought it was a "scape" but thought it was too early for garlic to send scape. I decided to cut it (opened the fused leaf edge, not knowing it was a fused leaf then) and to my surprise, more leaves are trapped inside this "solid" leaf that looks like scape. Anything like this happened to you? This is my second year to plant music. Also, the first time I received the music garlic seedlings grown from Wisconsin, they were HUGE! When I planted and harvested them last year, they were tiny :( I replanted them again this year hoping to get a bigger bulb.
