Dirtbert...what are you thinking??????GET TO SOWING ALREADY!!!!!

Me too, dirtbert. I did sow some containers on solstice but nothing since. Have a few seeds in the frig in a bit of soil.
Here's a time when it is good to be z:4. Lots of time yet for cold strat outside.

Don't know why I have been procrastinating.

After I get the fridge cleaned today I plan to play in the dirt. Since I use my laundry sinks to drain the jugs and the washer/dryer as my sowing surface I want to get the laundry done first. Still one load to go.

Just a friendly reminder to get going!! I'm going to haunt you. Grab some containers, soil, seeds and lets go!

    Quit reading this! Go now!

    You're still here?

Don't make me count to three!

Ok, so last fall when I was cleaning up for the season in my greenhouse I did prep a LOT of containers. So they are just waiting for me out there, the whole bench is covered.
Saturday is the day, LOOK OUT! :)

dirtbert, I am going to hold you to that! Aren't I a pain?

Okay dirtbert. It is Saturday, I hope the sun is out for you (it's not here). Time to grab your jugs and get to sowing!

At least 50 jugs under my belt this morning Wahooo, getting quite toasty in the greenhouse too. Just came in to grab a drink then back to it. Ahhhh it's like heaven.

I sow until July 1st. Relax.

wahoo 73 containers done, all perennials.

Might just have to go out and start some of these hardy annuals yet...

just can't seem to get enough :) Although shoveling snow for a spot to put the containers is getting a little old.

Go dirtbert Go!! Congrats on getting started. You have already doubled what I have done so good job! I will leave you alone now.

LOL It was a FUN day in the greenhouse today.
ended up with 74 perennial jugs, 28 annuals, and 3 herbs.
    not too shabby :)
Still gobs of annuals to do, but there's a big snow drift where those need to sit. So I'll let that melt a bit yet.
Wouldn't want to have too much fun in one day ya know ;)

I could winter sow more containers if this stupid snow drift wasn't in the way...

Digbert, you look like you're a real winter-sowing warrior! I'd better get the rest of my available containers sown...

It's my first year, so no idea what to expect. The fact that I have sprouts in 2 of my 5 tubs so far, though, has me ecstatic. I don't ask for much!

All right, I'm gonna ask it: what have you got going in all those jugs?!

This is my third year winter sowing. I was a little reluctant the first year and only did a few dozen containers. Mostly of seeds that were really old that I couldn't bare to throw out. Well they did great, and I was hooked! Last year I did a lot of perennials and a few annuals. Well the annuals did so great I'm planning to winter sow most of them this year. I'm a gardening nut, can't help it, it's in my blood :)

I did a lot of perennials: blanket flowers, mexican hats, daisy, lemon fuzz, forget-me-nots, wall flower, dwarf iris, white coneflower, allium, black eyed susans, dianthus, honeysuckle, double decker coneflower and salvia.
I started some of my annuals too: African daisies, cleome, pink baby's breath, cornflower (a few different kinds), lavender, red corn poppy, gloriosa daisy, white baby's breath, larkspur, globe gilia, alyssum, pennie blacks, brachycom, nemesia mello.
I have a lot more annuals to do, but there is a 3-4 foot snow drift in the way right now ;)
