I fially found in my area some of the sweet onions other than Walla Walla. Yesterday while needing to waste some time before the wife and I went to the movies, I stopped into a local nursery and a woman was putting out brand new sweet onion seedling such as Spanish, Candy and Ailsa Craig. Lately I have been obsessed with growing large (1 lb. or more) onions. It was a hard choice and it took me a few minutes but I decided on Candy. I made room for them by removing some brocolli starts that have been in the garden for month and regressed. I can't wait.

candy and ace are large onions and store extremely well for a short onion. mine have kept into february.
