Last year was my first growing onions from seed. I bought a pkg. of Sweet Spanish Utah strain from wallyworld. They did fantastic I got softball size bulbs. And am just now finishing the last of them. I live in NE Central AZ at 5700'. Soil is sandy silt in raised beds. Pkg says they are long day type. I planted 1st week in april and they are just now coming up. Hope I do as well this year. Happy gardening Brent
