Window in shower

I have a bathtub/shower with a window over it similar to this. How do you keep the window sill from rotting? Thanks!

    Epoxy paint. You could also build a storm window on the inside it that is possible.

    We tiled inside the window sill and frame all the way around then sealed it all with silicon.

    I love the look of the tiling. Will that work well long-term for a shower that will get daily use? Or will it need to be re-sealed frequently?

    NP-1 and Lexel are both paintable sealants. Lexel is clear and can be applied to wet surfaces. NP-1 comes in a variety of colors. Buy them at an industrial supply.
