Those look great!

Great find!

I can't wait until I'm driving again. Gardening "on foot" or "via taxi" doesn't allow me to snag those deals nearly as often. Just a couple more months......

Check the drain holes. I recently picked up large pots from Lowe's which were originally nearly $20, but the largest were marked down to $4.80 each. They made perfect sense for the use I had for them, except they have attached saucers which are far too shallow and the drain holes are TINY. They work as long as I drill out the drain holes to half inch and remove the saucer. These don't appear to have saucers, but do check the size of the drain holes. Congratulations! Kim

Nice & good deal! I bought some large containers at our local Dollar store but ended drilling all the holes because they did not have any...lol

I end up drilling my own holes in a lot of my pots. I don't even look for that now because I know I'm probably going to have to drill some anyway.

I bought lots of these containers in the summer & thought the colors were a bit bright but gorgeous anyway. They definitely brighten things up. Take a look.

Sara-Ann - what a great deal!

View1ny- Wow I love the color combos on peace and oklahoma. Lovely!

Thanks everyone. Drilling holes in the containers is not a problem at all for me. View1ny - You did a good job putting the right rose with the right container. The light green containers look good, they all do.

Love those bright colors, view!

Thanks for the positive feedback. I was starting to think I was the only one who liked those strong colors.

I'm a bit bummed out by the poor flowering of my previously strong performers but at least the containers looked good.

View, don't despair. I think a lot of our roses didn't perform their best this year. They took such a big hit last winter and needed some time to regroup. Hopefully this winter will be more normal for everyone and the roses will respond by being gorgeous next year!

Seil, I really do hope you're right. This year was so disappointing.
James Galway which was a bloom machine for the past few years (literally hundreds of buds at a time; I couldn't even count them all) had an ok blush in June and about 5 blooms since then. I hope it bounces back as it's one of my absolute favorites & would hate for it to breathe its last breath.

oops, I meant to say that James Galway had an ok flush (not blush).
