Leeks

I recently transplanted leeks after growing them from seed. The method I used was to poke six inch deep holes in the garden and drop in the seedling and puddle the roots. Last night we got 3 1/2 inches of rain which filled in the holes completely. The leeks still extend several inches above the soil. The soil is very loamy. In fact you don't even need a shovel in the garden. Will the leeks survive with the holes filled in?
