Spacing on new raised bed

Hi All,

I finally decided to make a raised bed dedicated to alliums. Unfortunately my measurements are limited to a 8'x3' bed.

I really would like a nice combintaions of onions, garlic shallots and leeks (if possible). I don't know much about the leek growing culture. If I can put them in a different location and pull them up before it's time to plant the tomatoes in April, then great. This year, I had to pull up garlic and shallots early to accommodate my tomatoes.

I have seeds for Walla Walla, Ciopillini (sp???), Yellow of Parma, and Tropeana Lunga. Is it possible to "squeeze" these in along with some shallots and Garlic Store's Exotic Softnecks 6-pack. It includes:

Acropolis Greek

Red Tochliavri

Applegate

Siciliano

Oregon Blue

Corsican Red

BTW the shallots are a luxury item for me. If it can fit, too bad for me.

I was thinking of creating a grid (like SQ FT gardeing to estimate what limitations are. Is 50 percent of each a good ratio? I never really kept track of my garlic vs. onion usage.

Thank you for the advice.

Cheers,

Angelique
