Late harvest garlic

I harvested my soft neck garlic yesterday but aparently much too late. The bulbs are large but the wrappers are totally gone and the cloves are spreading, although still firmly attached. I have set them outside under a roof to cure and intend to use this garlic in August and September when my tomatoes are in.

Will this garlic hold for a month or two stored indoors after curing? If not, what is the best way to keep them? Can I chop and store them in a bottle under water or oil in the refrigerator?

Thanks!

Tom
