Softneck With Least Cloves

I have been growing both softneck and hardneck garlics for about 7 years. I grow the softneck for two reasons... they store for about a year and we like braiding them and giving garlic to friends. My biggest complaint about the softnecks is that they have so many small to tiny cloves on each head. I have been looking for a softneck with a smaller number of larger cloves, but have not seemed to find one yet.

Does anyone know of a softneck variety that has 8 - 10 larger cloves (instead of 16 - 18 smaller ones)???

Thanks!

Gary
