Fish Lake (Garlic) source/s

I'd like to renew/refresh my Fish Lake planting stock (not that I grow all that much...) and have having no luck sourcing in the US. The folks up at Boundary Garlic grow Fish Lake (they are outstanding relatively new growers) just across the Canadian border just outside Midway. However shipping to the States is out because the plant quarantine folks (both countries) have their heads in the sand. (Ie) thousands and thousands of tons of garlic comes in from China each year uninspected. But that's another story.

Any help would be appreciated on finding Fish Lake in the States, or perhaps the name of a Canadian grower that is phyto-certified for US shipping. Thanks in advance.

Nice drive even w/o garlic a reason. We've made the trip a couple of times over the years.

But there is 1) the question of q/a with US Border folks. Given that it's no longer USDA staff but Homeland Security asking the questions/interpreting what can appear to be conflicting APHIS documentation (for example):

...and if they confiscate your garlic my guess is that you don't want to argue too much lest you be "listed."

2) Also you don't want to cause "reverse" issues for the Canadian source people of your garlic.

Bulbils are an option (they can be shipped at last check...but.) The down side is that you are looking at 3-5 years to fully size-up the bulbils.
