Pruning in warm climates

Members of HMF will recognize this person from her generous photo sharing of the wonderful Heritage Rose Garden images she tirelessly contributes. She's shared a wonderfully illustrated pruning of English, climbing and OGR roses in her lovely blog, "A Rose is a Rose".

Of course, her methods and suggestions may be more pertinent to you who live in milder climates and grow the types of roses she mentions, but even if you don't, it may help by showing you the pretty standard pruning of climbers and help reduce the discomfort many have in actually cutting them. It will show you, in many cases, there are many ways to grow beautiful roses.

Have a look. I know you'll enjoy! Kim
