I have seen threads here about ornamentals, but the allium forum is grouped in the "kitchen gardening" section of gardenweb. There are mostly questions about leeks, garlic, and onions. A lot of the traffic comes from the vegetable forum that links here.

Ask away - there is a lot of experience/information to be found here. There is also the "bulbs" forum that is less produce oriented - it could help too.
