A storage onion

I'm looking for a storage onion that could be harvested in late summer which would keep a long time indoors around 56-60 degrees (basement) if possible. Medium size, medium flavor would be nice, but I'm not picky.

My latitude is 38.6 and summers are humid. I have done okay with both set grown and seed grown onions, though the selling garden center could not even tell me what they were. Nor did they store well.

I'm at a similar latitude and I've done well with several intermediate day hybrids. This past season Cabernet from Johnny's was the standout. They're in the basement now.

My favorite is Copra. It is a medium size (3"), sweet long day onion, and stores 8-10 months. Like all onions it needs full sun, nitrogen rich fertilizer up until June, and lots of water during bulbing. My best success is with live plants from Dixondale and set in the ground in early April. I am at latitude 37.0.
