My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
I think it is darker than Hercules. I wish I could capture the true color so I could compare better. My photo above looks a little orangey, but there is no hint of orange in the flower.
On this forum someone had previously suggested (years ago) that you put your palm of a hand in front of the camera, like you are going to photograph that, and it corrects the red. I've tried it....I don't know why it works, but it seems to help. I also have several nice photos of my hand! :-) K
I'll have to try that. Do you include your hand in the photo of the flower, or do you do this prior to taking the photo? If the latter, I will need to check whether my camera allows me to freeze its exposure adjustments in this way.
Please see the photo in http://pacificbulbsociety.org/pbswiki/index.php/HippeastrumHybridsThree My opinion is that it is Violetta. The problem is that the old variety. But Johan van Scheepen Taxonomist / Librarian KAVB informed me that it is protected name, so it is used to the variety Nivio.
The grand finale for Violetta was a third scape with 6 flowers, though they were paler than the previous ones. Here it is posing with Brazza, which also produced 6 flowers. I expected Brazza to be larger, though mine is poorly rooted.
