It's been a few years since I did any winter sowing because I don't have good garden plots at my present home. But this year I'm planting a veggie garden at my folks retirement community garden and we are having fun with it!

Today I planted 6 more sweet basil plants that I WS back in early March. They are really good looking, healthy plants, and I am pleased as punch that I did it and saved money also. They were sown in individual recycled yogurt cups.

I also have a little plot of lettuce and spinach here in my own backyard that is doing well. I'm getting the gardening bug back and am already thinking about where I can put a couple of beds in the backyard that could get enough sun. Also, I have a strong neighbor who is helping me with yard work, which helps immensely.

Even though I just spent two hours weeding and planting it feels good to be back gardening again!
