If you have nice warm summers, you can try growing yard long beans and chinese okra (luffa). They are both pretty easy and everyone can grow them given enough sun. Bok choy is also pretty easy as a fall crop.

The easiest ones are peas, beans, cucumbers, zucchini - all need to be trellised.
Also you could grow tomatoes (indeterminate ones)
Are you planning to grow in the ground or on raised beds?
Is it well drained and with a good amount of organic matter?
