I have bought an old house in the city of Charleston, WV, and it does not have any vegetation.

I have been looking for bamboo to harvest in my area, and someone on "freecycle" (great website) told me about this website. It is my first time using it.

I do not have anything for you to exchange, but would be willing to try to get something you want in exchange for some of your bamboo. I would like to fence my yard in it, to create privacy in the inner city.

You will probably want to go with a species hardier than golden for West Virginia. Yellow groove, nuda, maybe bissetii would work for your zone. It will take many years or lots of plants to fill in that much of an area in your zone.
