Nice black culms. So all of the culms don't turn completely black?? Interesting.......another bamboo oddity...

I have some nigra that does this, but the culms that don't turn completely black get direct sunlight, which prevents them from ever turning black, they remain spotted. Those in the shade turn deep coal black.

What I tried to show was that it seems there was
not a difference between a regular nigra and a bory
when light condition was low.

I have Bory growing near a creek here, and it looks identical to my Henon, except if planted in a pot, where it begins to develop spots. The lighting is about the same, but the potted bamboo gets regular waterings.

Growing conditions seem to have a big part in the appearance of colour and/or spots on all nigras.

Confused. You want trades? Rgds

Sorry thought you were on exchange. Old age, excess wine, or too cold.
