I got an email today. He's claiming he lives in the ground. He's saying he took shots of some of my flowers but the other side. HEHEHE! :D

Enjoy! :)

    Love your bug's view, Ronneil!
    Gorgeous photos.

Didn't you get any rain this morning?
I was planning to go out to trim my bushes. Now everything is soaking wet.
Are we getting rain this week!
The heat and mosquitoes are driving me insane.

Thanks Mone. Yes, very strong rain this morning and last night. Did you see my question to you on my other thread? It's about multiplying alchemilla. I want to plant more on other areas.

    Thanks bev2009 too! :)

Which thread? I searched but could not find it.
Anyway, alchemilla mollis is easily divided. You can divide it in spring or early fall. It reseeds too. Has yours bloomed yet? If it bloomed last year, you might have seedlings in the garden already. If not, and if it is in bloom now, check the ground this fall.

I love this plant. I have it in different spots in my garden. It does very well in both sun and shade.
If you don't want to divide yours yet, come by this fall or early next spring. I'll give you more.

It bloomed last year too. :) It started blooming about 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Ok, I'll divide them early spring.

    Thanks.

Hi Neil, I'm growing alchemilla mollis from seed I WS. I just harvested the dried flowers from mine last fall, crushed them and sprinkled them over the soil in a milk jug. I've got tons of sprouts & seedlings that are growing quite nicely. Like you I wanted more plants but didn't necessarily want to divide the one I had. I'm going to WS lots more this year. My neighbor brought the first plant over to me in a bucket and said, "Here. It's yours. It doesn't DO anything." Not sure what she was expecting it to do that it didn't but it's quite happy in my shade bed.

Thanks Eileen! I'll try both methods. I'll have to prepare my bed first. After seeing tons of Lady's Mantle at Olbrich garden, I want more in my garden too. :)

Here is one shot from that garden.

Wow!! Thanks for sharing that shot! I hope my garden bench area looks like that next year. Guess I'll be adding some Alchemilla mollis to the design! There are a bajillion flowers on mine this year so I should have plenty of seeds.
Are you looking for seeds or will you have enough from your own plants?

I will have tons of seeds as well! :D

oh my.. those are wonderful pictures.

The one of the white daisies should be featured on a calendar.
I hope you don't mind, but I'm saving that one and using it as my desktop image.

    Take it! :)

WOW! I absolutely love these pictures. I would have never thought of taking shots like this. Thanks for posting them. I think I will try and take some like this myself. These photos are definitely pretty enough to frame.

    Thanks everyone! :)

Please see my other thread that I just posted. I need some help there. HEHEHE! :D

Love how the sky peeks through on some shots! Kept thinking "Yes, this IS what it looks like for a tiny bug!!" Very Artsy!!

And I second the "more lady's mantle everywhere" discussion. I soemhow didn't warm up to this plant until I had a grouping of them and the tiny yellish flwoers could accumulate into an intersting visual mass. Now I love it and I am dividing each year and also growing from seed. Looks great under dK. Pink roses! Great color and texture contrast.

Number four is my newest desktop background ;-)
    Great picts!

    Thanks Trudi! :)

I'll prepare larger pictures just in case you are stretching the pic to fill the whole screen.

What surprising and beautiful photos! Amazing.

And, actually, those flowers and leaves look awfully tasty from that angle. Maybe just a quick nibble...just sooooooo yummy looking!

    Oh, no--I'm sympathizing with bugs!

I wasn't thinking bug when I shot this but...

My friend lives where there used to be a pig farm and the soil is...well...we'll just say it's enriched. Everything she plants grows to astonishing size. I saw this sunflower the first time I visited her garden and looked up...and up...and up until it came into view. Against the blue sky it looked like it had taken wing as if it were a sunflower bird.
