Hi everyone,

I have been struggling with one and only banana plant-musa basjoo that I have had for 2 years indoors. It was doing well , giving out leaves etc when I decided to move it so it was more noticeable. It was moved to a location where it didn't get any sun. The leaves started to brown etc. I was still watering it as usual. Finally most leaves were brown and I started noticing some mushiness in the stem.First I cut it only few inches but gradually cut it down where only 6 inches of the stem was left.

I then dug it out from the pot, the corm had some mushiness too. It may have been inadvertently but I split the corm. I have now transplated those two pieces of corm-the root ball to a different pot. Added diluted root hormone to it and kept it on my kitchen window where it will receive some sunshine. I live in Seattle so right now we are devoid of sunshine most of the time.

I don't think it is going to survive but may be some of you may know if there is a possibility and what can I do.
