How thick is the glass that is used here? Also, another comment on a different picture of this idea mentioned glass flexing - how does that happen? Does it have to do with the thickness of the glass?

    The glass is 1/2" thick. There are many different types of glass and the installer/manufacturer can recommend thickness depending on your specific size and use. Here we didn't worry about flex because the panel is on hinges - weight won't be placed against it.
