I have had the best results with RainDrip emitters, connectors, plugs etc. These are very durable and the dripper heads have a lock that prevents them from blowing off, but you can remove them to clean if the flow gets low. Ace Hardware carries the RainDrip line of these parts.

If you have to replace the tubing, I have found Toro Blue Stripe 1/2" and 1/4" tubing to be the best tubing for longest durability. This is available at some Home Depot stores.

Another thing that will help with our hard water is a filter that you attach at the hose bib. It's called a Calcium filter and you can find them at Sprinkler World or Ewings, places like that.

The stores around Chandler have stopped carrying Toro tubing.
After making the mistake of using other brands when we bought our house 20 years ago, I don't want anything else, so I got it from Amazon. If there's a local supplier, please post.
