Banana corm growing direction question

Hello. I have a 2ft by 2ft cutout in my patio with a bananapagant in the middle. A common tall type. One corm about three feet tall on the sunny side. Will they pop out on all sides or just the sunny side? I would prefer it on the other side unless they grow on all sides regardless. Thanks in advance!!!!
