Tomato Question

Ok, so I know that tomato blossom will not set fruit over 95 degrees (basically all summer here!), but I have another question which may be a little silly so please be patient.

If the fruit is already set, will the heat impact the tomato? In other words will the tomato continue to grow and ripen or will the tomato stay the same size and only ripen?

Thanks for everyone's help. I'm trying to get my 'maters to set lots of fruit before the heat! :-)
