How long do foothill palo Verde drop the yellow debris?

My neighbor has a big one (and there are some in the arroyo behind my yard) which are snowing down into my pool. As soon as I clean it out, the other side is full again.

if I only need to endure this for a few weeks, I can live with it, but if this is going to be all summer long I will need to build a roof like structure:(
