I just bought about 12 tradewinds hibiscus that are about a foot tall. They're gorgeous, but I didn't know they die below 50 degrees. In tucson, if it gets down to 20 degrees this winter, is it possible they will grow back from the roots if well mulched or will they definitely have to be planted in the ground as an annual (or kept in a pot)?
